River Prypjat / Prypjaz | Belarus
River Dnepr / Dnjepr has already 228 km behind him when reaching the Russian – Byelorussian border, but it still is a small river. The first town in Belarus, Orsha, it touches at km 288. The first ships one meets at the town of Mahiljou (Mogilew) at km 368, they are localy navigating passenger ships. Then we get to the town of Rachanow, at km 556 and at km 594, to the (Steel Town) of Zhlobin. At km 668, River Beresina is joing the Dnepr and ab km 700 we cruise into the charming harbor of the beer brewing town of Retschyza.
Having appeased the big thirst, we continue southward to the border town of Lovey (km 788). As from here Dnepr forms the border to Ukraine and at km 904, we definitely are on Ukrainian waters.
