has its origin in the Julian Alps of Slovenia and it gets to Croatia northeast of the capital of Zagreb. It stays in Croatia for 185 km. After Jasenovac it becomes the Border River to Bosnia and Herzegovina.For the last 220 km, River Drava crosses then Serbian territories and flows at Belgrade into the biggest European Border River, the Danube.
At the town of Sisak, River Kupa joins the Sava, having passed Slovenia and Bosnia before. And here, River Sava gets navigable. Bigger places along the Croatian – Bosnian stretch are Slanvonska, with its many firmly anchored houseboats, Zupanja without a harbor and Brcko with a small wharf and a port for commercial vessels.
