La Deûle
River Deule is a water way for large vessels and leads from the „Liaison au grand gabarit“ over Lille to the Lys. The canal has a length of 36 kilometers and has not much to offer apart from Lille. There are some approaches to develop boating tourism, but so far, nothing much can be seen of it. The region has after all about 680 kilometers of waterways and there are some excursion ships, a few hirers of electric boats and a handful of marina. But, none of them are on this river…!


Lille
The capital of Pas de Calais offers two landing stages. They are on the respective ends of the small side canal “Bras de Canteleu” which is unfortunately, for its bridges, only limitedly navigable.

Seclin
This place is connected to the Deûle over a branch canal, it diverts between km 8 and 9.

Tourism
is mainly happening on a large offer of trails.
