Sió canal
or: Once upon a time----! Canalized River Sió used to serve two goals; dewatering parts of the right hand side marshes of River Danube and, it was a small waterway between Lake of Balaton and River Danube. If one leaves River Danube today over the high water weir, one feels like being on a real canal. But, this last for a few kilometers only and one must then be satisfied with a runlet with a depth of half a meter.
