The old navigable waterways and rivers of Lithuania
Officially only the lover stretch of Nemunas is navigable today. On river Nevis and Shventoji, fishing and water sports are enjoyed by locals.

Today, inland waterway navigation has not much importance in Lithuania anymore. The only navigable river is Nemus on which one can get to Kaunas. But, the river is for more than half of its stretch Border River to the enclave of Kaliningrad (Konigsberg) and therefore, the underflow of it is not very attractive for leisure boating.
