Since River Pruth is a rather moody companion, the villages on the Moldavian as well as those on the Slovenian side have moved away carefully. That's why one finds on the western banks for hundreds of kilometers just fields and graze land and on the eastern, Moldavian side, woods and woods and more woods.
Economy of Moldavia is as one of the last ones still based on the old Soviet system and is therefore practically not existing. This is the end for shipping as no transport capacity is necessary if there is neither production nor consumption. And, on the Romanian side are only a few bigger places.
