Beemster Ringvaart

Beemster Ringvaart
Noordholland

Category of water: 0 / leisure boating
Waterkaart / waterway map: G / Amsterdam – Alkmaar; F / Alkmaar – Den Helder

Beemster Ringvaart
From the north of Amsterdam and the Noordhollands Kanaal at Spijkerboor to the northeast and Avenhorn and then back again to the southeast and Noordhollandskanaal at Purmerend. Leisure skippers are on their own on this vaart.  Dimensions allow no commercial traffic. One has the possibility to meet cows and sheep; a very nice and rural vaart!

Schermerringvaart

Schermerringvaart
This is the small, western sister of Beemster Ringvaart. It starts at Noordhollands Kanaal at West-Graftdijk and has access to Beemster Ringvaart at Schermerhorn. A bit further north it gets to Huigenvaart. If one turn eastward at Ursem, one gets over Ursemer Vaart to Avenhorn and the Beemster Vaart.
