This is the western link from Rotterdam, past the eastern edge of Den Haag, to Leiden where one gets over Zijl and Kager Plassen to the Ringvaart van de Haarlemmermeerpolder. There, one has access to Amsterdam. Rotterdam to Leiden goes across industrial areas but the old town of Leiden is worth a visit.
There is a short canal going into the center of Den Haag.
