Randmeren van Flevoland (Drontermeer / Veluwemeer / Wolderwijd / Nuldernauw / Nijkerkernauw / Eemmeer / Gooimeer
This is probably the most attractive leisure area for the people of Amsterdam, with many camping places and well equipped marinas. Because of the strong winds, it’s also a paradise for surfers and sailors.
Unfortunately, one can’t always count on a landing stage in high season.

Lage Vaart / Lage Dwarsvaart / Swiftervaart

The northwestern route across Flevoland is not very attractive but short. South of Lelystad exists a link over Lage Dwarsvaart to the marinas of the Ijsselmeer.

Hoge Vaart / Larservaart / Hoge Dwarsvaart | Flevoland

Hoge Vaart

Category of waters: II / 80 x 6 m
Length: 62 km / Locks: 2
Lock dimensions: 60 x 8.00 m

This is the longest “vaart” in Flevoland, since a few years it’s connected with the Ijsselmeer over the new lock of von De Blocq van Kuffeler. It is, just like the other connections in Flevoland, a bit dull over long stretches.
