Kuinder of Tjonger
The small river Linde meets the Tjonger at the small village of Kuindre, 10 km southeast of Lemmer. Tjonger continues to the northeast at becomes at Midam the

Tjongerkanaal.
As from here it’s definitely part of the turf route. The canal flows then into Opsterlandsche Compagnonsvaart short before Oosterwolde and this one goes to Drentse Hoofdvaart.
