Purmer Ringvaart
Starts at Purmerend and, as the name suggests, comes back to again. At the east it has access to Trekvaart Het Schouw – Monnickendam – Edam and therewith to the beautiful harbor towns of the IJsselmeer. Since head room is only 1.80 m only smaller boats manage this Vaart.

Trekvaart Het Schouw - Monnickendam - Edam

Trekvaart Het Schouw – Monnickendam – Edam
Turns off the Noordhollands Kanaal at Het Schouw towards northeast and reaches Monickedam over Havnrak. It is then for a short stretch part of the Purmer Ringvaart before arriving in Edam.
