has its spring in the hills of Katowice, flows then over 200 km to the north and turns at Konin westwards before it flows after another 400 km into River Oder.
Conditions for navigation are divided in 3 stretches.
Lower Warta
River Oder at Konin to inflow of Notec at Gorzow,
Middle Warta
Gorzow (km 68.3) to Lubon at Poznan
Upper Warta
Lubon (km 253.5) to Konin

River Warta is a very beautiful river which is over long distances still untouched. After Gorzow, one has to be aware of sandbanks and rocks and navigate with great care. Between Poznan and Konin, water level can fall below 80 cm. This trip should be prepared very carefully.
