The lake area in the south of the country offers much more then the world famous Göta Canal. The entire area between Baltic Sea and Kattegat with the two big lakes Vänern and Vättern is linked up and offers uncountable possibilities to skippers. The "Malären" area, northwest of Oslo with Strömsholms Kanal and Hjalmäre Kanal, is very popular as well.
